Bacon-Wrapped Black Mission Figs with goat cheese and spiced honey! These figs are an amazing combination of flavors. It’s the one appetizer that we are always sure to start with. You will want to also!

The fresh baked bread and flavored butter is also a must. You receive a round loaf large enough for a party of four. If you can’t finish it, you will want to take it back with you. It’s that good!

I usually select the evening’s steak offering so it was no different this time. I opted for the Grilled Manhattan Strip Steak, cooked medium, which was served with tarragon butter, roasted Yukon gold potatoes, tobacco onions and green beans. I also asked the Chef for some of his fabulous mushroom demi-glace on the side. It was fabulous! It’s always nice to know that Chef Donald Main, and staff, are consistent with the meals that are delivered to you. The real show stopper was the Grilled Pork Chop, which is what my husband selected.

The Grilled Pork Chop really deserves a killer renaming though. This Grilled Pork Chop was a beautiful bone-in pork chop served with a seriously addicting Gojuchang BBQ sauce and sesame broccoli salad. It was also served with jasmine rice but my husband asked for a substitution of Yukon gold potatoes. The pork chop was topped with bright green onions. The pork chop was amazing! I had to have a bite based solely on the presentation and color! The Gojuchang BBQ sauce was so amazing!

Since it was our anniversary, I had made a request prior to our arrival in Nashville. Now, I am not sure if this is the reason why they offered coconut cake or not that evening, but my request was a coconut cake because it was my husband’s favorite. Well, we didn’t just get coconut cake. We selected the Old-Fashioned Southern Coconut Cake which was layered with lemon curd, an almond cream cheese frosting, topped with candied pecans and we added the evening’s homemade ice cream. It was a vanilla bean homemade ice cream and it was delicious. I also love their homemade cinnamon ice cream. Pastry Chef, Renee Kasman, really doesn’t hold back. All of the desserts we’ve had truly have been incredible.

Of course, if you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know that Proprietors Rick & Vicki Bolsom, and Chef Donald Main, really know how to please! The Tin Angel is my absolute favorite, always first choice, and highest recommendation, for anyone wanting a five-star meal with not quite the five-star price. I always look forward to a visit. Their staff is always friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu selections and components.

Come in for a meal, a drink from the bar, or if you plan ahead, you can come in and enjoy a Prix Fixe three nights a week. It’s a composed dinner at a set price in addition to their regular menu.
