Spicy Roasted Chickpeas
I have recently adopted a healthier way of eating and the part that I’ve struggled with was finding healthy snacks. Now, don’t get me wrong, I know about vegetables, but I don’t always have time to prep them.
I have been spending a lot of time exploring Pinterest lately and I saw this recipe by Ambitious Kitchen. It looked delicious, inexpensive and I wanted to try it.
A few notes:
I didn’t have the mentioned mustard powder and, honestly, since I use my own spice jars, I can’t tell you what brand I used, but it worked out just fine. The roasting time was It a total of 50 minutes.
I also want to let you know that you will only find information on storing the chickpeas in the comments/questions the section at the bottom of the original recipe (see recipe link)
But, don’t worry, I’ll tell you here! The author of the recipe recommends you store the chickpeas in a brown paper bag to retain the crispness. I didn’t have any brown paper bags at the time of roasting, and they probably won’t last that long, so I’ll make sure to get some so that I can have them on hand for the next batch.
